Foundation Events
We depend on support from people like you to help us build a community where our residents, tenants and clients can make the most out of their lives.
Each year, we hold events that help us raise the funds we need to empower the Northwood community to live more. Consider getting involved in one of our events as an attendee, volunteer or sponsor!
This year, due to circumstances caused from the COVID-19 pandemic, our fundraising events look a bit different. Many of our main events had to be cancelled or re-thought to adapt to the changing times. Now more than ever support is needed to help improve the lives of our Northwood community.
The Live More Awards – Our signature fundraising event each year, the Live More Awards event is a gala dinner that we’ve put on for over 20 years.
The Live More Walk – A 2km fun walk that takes place in early fall, raising money for our Dignified Living Fund.
Models for Mental Health – In partnership with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Models for Mental Health is a consignment fashion show that raises funds for our Mental Health & Wellness support program, Seeds of Success.
Holiday Magic – A holiday-themed, stage production created by VanWart Productions to help raise funds for the programs that we support at Northwood. It will feature dance, drama, cirque and much, much more
