The CCA Program is made up of:
- 13 CCA Curriculum modules, including 5 module specific labs
- Skills Development through Competency Assessment Tool and Professional Behaviour
Development Rubric
- 6 external certificate courses
- 330 placement hours
- To be successful in the CCA Program, students must meet the learning outcomes and accompanying objectives for each curriculum module and obtain a passing grade of 75% on each module quiz, assignment, and mini exam.
Recognizing prior learning / transfer credits
Students who plan to transfer from another school to the Northwood Career College are required to submit supporting documentation to include, but not limited to, the following:
- A copy of their complete course certificate
- Copies of all school transcripts
- An outline of the courses previously taken with the learning objectives for each course
- A copy of all tests for each course they completed (passing grade of 75% or higher)
- Proof of their enrollment in the program and the date for transfer
- Others as required
These documents will be reviewed by the CCA Primary Instructor, Program Manager and in some cases the Program Director and / or CCA Program, Private Career College Division. Any award of credit will be the decision of the above parties and will be communicated to the student after review/assessment of credentials is completed. All decisions are final.
