Spiritual Care

All of us are made of body, mind, and spirit, and Northwood recognizes the importance of spirituality in person centered care.

From the first ‘hello’ to the final ‘goodbye’, our full time Spiritual Care Liaison is available to meet one-on-one with residents, families, and staff, and is responsible for coordinating and providing spiritual care programming and services.

The Spiritual Care Liaison also networks with local faith communities to ensure that regardless of a person’s spiritual tradition or practice, appropriate supports are in place.

Northwood is proud to be in partnership with Acadia Divinity College and the Atlantic School of Theology, and has worked with Maritime Conference of the United Church of Canada as an internship site for candidates for ministry.
