September is Dignity Month and the Northwood Foundation is hosting
“Bidding for Dignity” to raise much-needed funds for our Dignified Living Program.

The online auction is open from September 1st – September 30th! New items will be added each Thursday, so be sure to keep an eye out!

Some examples of items funded by the Dignified Living Program are:

• Foot care services
• Dental care services and equipment
• Vision care services and equipment
• Travel costs for medical-related appointments
• Mobility aids
• Personal hygiene items

The Dignified Living Program provides ongoing support to residents and clients who are struggling with medical needs like transportation to appointments, dental work, hearing aids, and other necessities that aren’t covered by the government, their insurance or their income.

Gerald is a participant in the Adult Day Programs at Northwood in Sackville. The Northwood Foundation is grateful to Judi for sharing her Alzheimer’s journey with us to help others who may also be struggling with the life changes that dementia can bring to families.
