Northwood offers the benefits of 24-hour care.

Northwood emphasizes a person-centred approach that recognizes the individual’s unique values, personal history and personality. Each person has a right to be treated with dignity and respect, and to participate fully in their environment.

Our inter-professional care team works together to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs of each resident. 24-hour long term care is offered at our Halifax Campus and Bedford Campus.

Deciding if long term care is the right choice begins by contacting Nova Scotia Continuing Care Services at 1-800-225-7225 (can only be initiated by phone). They will work with you and conduct an assessment to determine whether long term care is the right fit.

Continuing Care Services also provides a number of fact sheets to help you determine if long term care is the appropriate choice, and explains the process involved.
