A career civil servant, Vicki Black is a social worker with the Department of Community Services. During her 26 years in Child and Family Well-being, she developed and implemented programs and policy to promote the safety and well-being of children under the mandate of the Children and Family Services Act. For the past six years, Vicki has working in the Disability Support Program as a policy and program director. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Kings College/Dalhousie University, Bachelor of Social Work and Masters of Social Work from Dalhousie University. She and her family have a special interest and affinity for Northwood, as her mother is a current resident at Ivany Place, and her grandmother was once a resident at the Halifax Campus.
