Lois Block

Lois Block is a retired social worker, having worked for many years with the Department of Community Services. During her employment, Block was involved in the development and implementation of training programs for staff, and in the development and implementation of policies and initiatives pertaining to all staff, including a code of conduct, culturally sensitive community services, service delivery initiatives, and succession management. Block holds a Master’s in Social Work Degree, McGill University and a Masters in School Psychology, Mount Saint Vincent University. She has served on several boards, including Northwood in the 1980’s, Research Ethics Board, Mount Saint Vincent University, and is a current board member of the Seniors’ College Association of Nova Scotia, serving as Past president.
