Once a month, a cart is brought around to long term care residents at both campuses with items like cards, hats, body lotion, note pads, stuffed animals and puzzle books for residents to choose from! In Halifax it’s called the Goody Cart and in Bedford it’s called the Sunshine Cart. 

For many residents, this is the only time they receive a special treat. 

We collect donations of items for the carts (new/unused) and monetary donations to purchase items. To donate items, contact Debra at dnorman1@northwoodfoundation.ca or click here to make a monetary donation directed to the Goody & Sunshine Carts.
