Rhonda Church is a family physician by training. A native of Dartmouth and graduate of Dalhousie Medical School, Dr. Church practiced in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Bridgewater, Nova Scotia for over 20 years before accepting a position as medical consultant to Nova Scotia Medical Services Insurance (MSI). She is a past president of Doctors Nova Scotia and has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Medical Association in addition to chairing the CMA’s Committee on Health Care and Promotion. In 2010, she co-authored the best-selling book “Take as Directed – Your Prescription for Safe Health Care in Canada.” She has a keen interest in health care system safety and quality. She lives in Bridgewater with her husband and has two university-aged children.
